Legato are proud to have been a partner in the creation of the new Belfast Welcome Centre.
The Visit Belfast Welcome Centre, on Donegall Square North, across from the City Hall, is one of the key capital funding projects within Belfast City Council’s Investment Programme. The £1.82 million building uses Legato’s world class inSight and inTouch interactive digital signage technology to promote and sell the wide range of tourism products and experiences that Belfast and Northern Ireland have to offer.
The Centre has been hailed as the most technically advanced tourist information facility in Europe
Visitors and locals can discover Belfast’s story, brought to life on dual interactive screens, create itineraries to see major attractions via self-serve touch screens, watch product promotional videos on a sixteen screen video wall or browse attractions using interactive digital maps covering Belfast city and Northern Ireland. Welcome Centre staff can additionally take control of any unused screen via iPads to bring up supplemental information as and when required.
The centre is expecting to deal with more than 400,000 visitor enquiries in the new building’s first year of operation.
